The Burkina Faso championship won by  YIGO Mahamadi

The Burkina Faso championship, played in Ouagadougou from 14 to 25 August, was won by national grandmaster YIGO Mahamadi.
158 players took part in the competition, divided into several series. The Burkinabe Federation is also responsible for organising the next African Championships.
