World Championship Youth

248 young players (8-19 years old/ 10 age categories) from 20 countries and 3 continents are competing for the title of World Champion in the magnificent setting of the Polish Sudetenland near the Czech border.

Unfortunately, Africa is absent, even though there are many talented young athletes. Szklarska Poreba welcomes around 500 people (with support staff, coaches, parents, etc.), and it will be difficult to maintain a single competition (all categories) in a single location in the future.

A big well done to the Polish Draughts Society for taking charge of this important event and to our Tournament Youth Director Magda Pawlowska for organising it to such a high standard Championships.

Thanks also to the FMJD/IMSA for helping the South American countries (Suriname, Brazil, Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao) to take part. Africa will be helped next year.
