RDF is excluded from the FMJD

At the General Assembly in Berlin there has been again a discussion made about the 2 Russian Federations being part of the FMJD.


The board received from the GA a mandate to work out a solution or to solve this problem. An Executive Vice-President I have analyzed
this situation.


The following conclusions were found:


The RDF (Moscow Based ) section 64 has organized on different occasions and under different names World Tournaments without the best
players of the world having a chance to participate. Also granted were international titles (international grandmasters , masters )using FMJD logotype. This was for the FMJD not acceptable and we asked the RDF to stop these types of activities. After repeated requests without any positive results we could not come to any other conclusion that the RDF was acting against our FMJD rules.



As the RDF was well aware of our point a view, a final warning was given to stop with their latest tournament to be held in September/October 2003. We received no positive response.


The FMJD has excluded the RDF/MARSH and their Chairman Mr. Klimashov as from the 2nd of October 2003 as member or to continue to be
a member from our organization.


We have informed by writing all parties of our decision.


We also have accepted the UFA based RIDF as being the sole representative in our organization from Russia. We have requested the RIDF to set up a new section 64 in order to avoid a vacuum.
The decision to exclude the RDF was accepted by the majority of the board.
