22^nd GOLDEN PRAGUE

 

Open International Draughts Tournament

 

June 16 - 22, 2002

The 22^nd Golden Prague Tournament in international
10x10 draughts will be one of the most important events of local Mind Sports
Olympiad held in Prague in June 2002. The playing room is placed in the center,
in "TyrÅ¡ův dům" on the left bank of the
Vltava river close to the medieval Charles Bridge, street Újezd 40/450, Praha
1, (http://www.sokol-cos.cz/TD/td.html). The tournament itself is open and will
be played on 7 rounds (one round per day) on the Swiss system, with time
control: 50 moves per 2 hours and then 1 hour till the end of game. The tournament
will be opened on Sunday June 16^th at 2 pm.

Programme:

June 16, 14:00 – 21:00 registration and the first round afterwards,

June 17 – 21, 16:00 – 22:00 rounds 2-6

June 22, 09:00 – 16:00 round 7 and closing ceremony

The first price will be at least 5000 CZK, the start money
depends on further negotiation within the frame of the whole Mind Sports Olympiad,
the proposal is 900 CZK {30 EUR}.

All expenses connected with participation in the tournament
are on account of participant themselves (travelling costs, accommodation and
board, start money). The organisers can arrange hotel reservation starting at
a very moderate price about 500 CZK {17 EUR} per person per night, higher level
available if requested. The players willing to come are asked to contact the
organisers.
