News from the General Assembly FMJD 2009, Berlin, December 28 and 29, 2009.
The following members of the Executive Board have been elected:
President: Harry Otten (Netherlands)
Executive Vice-President: Ibrahima M’Bouillé Fofana (Mali)
Tournament Director : Jacek Pawlicki (Poland)
General Secretary : Frank Teer (Netherlands)
The nomination of Vladimir Matus as president of the composers committee CPI was confirmed.
For the first time in the history of the FMJD an African member has been elected for one of the most important functions in the Executive Board.
A very important point of the General Assembly was the cancellation of the World Championship 2009 in Brazil. At this moment there are several possibilities to hold this championship in the coming year: Brazil and the Republic Czech. The president Harry Otten will study the possibilities in these two countries in the period January – March 2010 and will visit Brazil within a short time. The Executive Board will do its best to assure that there will be compensation of costs paid by the federations for the cancelled World Championship, or that the tickets for the world Championship to be organized will be free for the players.
Many proposals were accepted from the Executive board, the Technical committee, the federations of Belarus, Netherlands, Senegal, Gambia, Uganda. More details will be published in the next month.

La nomination de Vladimir Matus comme le président du comité de compositeurs CPI a été confirmée.
Pour la première fois dans l'histoire du FMJD on a élu un membre africain pour une des fonctions les plus importantes dans la Comité Directeur.
Un point très important de l'Assemblée Générale était l'annulation du Championnat Mondial 2009 au Brésil. À ce moment il y a plusieurs possibilités de tenir ce championnat dans l'année prochaine : le Brésil et le république Tchèque . Le président Harry Otten étudiera les possibilités dans ces deux pays dans le période de janvier a mars 2010 et visitera le Brésil pendant un court délai. La Comité Directeur fera tout le possible pour assurer qu'il y aura la compensation de prix payés par les fédérations pour le Championnat Mondial annulé, ou que les tickets pour le Championnat mondial à être organisé seront libres pour les joueurs.
Beaucoup de propositions ont été acceptées du Comité directeur, la commission Technique, les fédérations de la Biélarus, les Pays-Bas, le Sénégal, la Gambie, l'Ouganda. Plus de détails seront publiés dans le mois suivant.

Vpervye v istorii FMJD afrikanskij uchastnik byl izbran dlja odnoj iz samyh vazhnyh funkcij v Ispolnitel'nom organe.
Ochen' vazhnyj punkt General'noj Assamblei byl otmenoj Chempionata mira 2009 v Brazilii. V jetot moment est' neskol'ko vozmozhnostej derzhat' jetot chempionat v nastupajuwem godu: Brazilija i cheh respubliki. Prezident Garri Otten izuchit vozmozhnosti v jetih dvuh stranah v janvare perioda – mart 2010 i posetit Braziliju v predelah korotkogo promezhutka vremeni. Ispolnitel'nyj organ prilozhit vse usilija, chtoby garantirovat', chto budet kompensacija zatrat, zaplachennyh federacijami za otmenennyj Chempionat mira, ili chto bilety dlja chempionata mira, kotoryj budet organizovan, budut svobodny dlja igrokov.
Mnogo predlozhenij byli prinjaty ot Ispolnitel'nogo organa, Tehnicheskogo komiteta, federacij Belorussii, Niderlandov, Senegala, Gambii, Ugandy. Bol'she detalej budet izdano v sledujuwem mesjace.
